Patchogue’s ‘American Idol’ star Christian Guardino to headline at Patchogue Theatre

|

Christian Guardino’s name is shining in big letters on Patchogue’s Main Street.

That’s because the Patchogue singer and “American Idol” finalist is set to perform at the Patchogue Theatre on Nov. 4 at 8 p.m., the theatre announced today. This will be the first show the 22-year-old will headline in his career.

Seeing his name flash on the theatre’s marquee for the first time was a moment Guardino described as “a blessing.”

This milestone is Guardino’s latest accomplishment after making Top 7 on “American Idol’s” 20th season. He also recently released a new song called “Higher.”

At the announcement, which was outside of the theatre, cars honked in congratulations and passersby couldn’t help but ask for a photo with the local celebrity.

“It has been a goal for me to have a headline show for the longest time, so now we’re getting here and my mind’s going to explode,” Guardino said. “I’ve been working on the show for the past month now, I’m looking forward to it.”

Tickets can be found on the Patchogue Theatre website.

The presale starts tomorrow at noon and customers can use the code LOCAL22. General public tickets go on sale on Friday at noon.
