Chubs is giving away 50 sandwiches a day to kids in need at its new hero shop

|

As schools remain closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many students who relied on school lunches will be without meals — and the owner of Medford’s popular butcher shop Chubs Meats wants to help.

On Wednesday, Chubs owner Ryan Jones announced on Facebook he will be giving away 50 sandwiches a day to feed children in need at his new hero shop, Chubs Burgers, Burritos, and Heroes Co. in Farmingville

“No child should have to wonder where lunch comes from,” said owner Ryan Jones. “My family would love to feed anyone of those children that need this.”

Jones, who opened his hero shop at 625 Horseblock Road in January, said there will be a limit of one hero per person.

To learn more about this, call the shop at (631) 880-7999.
