Suffolk police are seeking the public’s help to find a man they say stole $400 in tools from The Home Depot in Shirley and slapped an employee while leaving the scene.
Police said the unidentified man entered Home Depot, located at 399 Northbound William Floyd Pkwy., at about 5:25 p.m. on Aug. 21 and took various tools.
While leaving the store, the suspect was confronted by a male employee. The man slapped the employee before leaving the scene, police said.
The suspect is wanted on charges of petit larceny and harassment.
