Dairy Queen is making its way to Mastic.
Brookhaven Town Councilman Dan Panico posted today on his official Facebook account the fast-food joint specializing in ice cream will be coming to Mastic.
He wrote a Dairy Queen Grill & Chill will be opening adjacent to Carpet Express on Montauk Highway.
“I’ve posted about this project in the past, but they have indicated they will soon break ground in a matter of days, depending on the weather,” Panico wrote.
For the uninitiated, Dairy Queen Grill & Chills serve up a variety of frozen treats, from ice cream cones to its famous Blizzards, as well as a selection of hot food items like hamburgers and hot dogs.
This will be the island’s seventh location. The most recent DQ opening happened in Nesconset back in 2020.
