Nesconset is about to get a whole lot sweeter.
That’s because Long Island’s newest Dairy Queen Grill & Chill restaurant is coming to 594 Middle Country Road — the spot that last held a KFC location.
For the uninitiated, Dairy Queen Grill & Chills serve up a variety of frozen treats, from ice cream cones to its famous Blizzards, as well as a selection of hot food items like hamburgers and hot dogs.
This new DQ — Long Island’s sixth — is set to open sometime this November, a representative from the company told GreaterSmithtown.
The Nesconset location is being launched by Kanwal Azam, a local entrepreneur who is a multi-brand operator with 7/11 and Sunoco Gas Stations.
“I’ve always heard people praising Dairy Queen for their exceptional food quality and customer service,” said Azam. “I knew I wanted to open my own restaurant once I learned about the support provided from the team along with the importance, they place on community involvement.”
