Dancers at North Shore Dance performing with Rockettes at Radio City Christmas Spectacular

|

It’s the opportunity of a lifetime.

Dozens of young dancers at North Shore Dance studio in Huntington are set to share the stage on Tuesday, Dec. 13, with the world renowned Radio City Rockettes.

A group of about 50 dancers from the studio — including elementary, middle and high school students — will be featured in a pre-show performance at the 2 p.m. showing of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular. North Shore Dance students auditioned this fall for chance to dance before an audience at the famous Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan.

In addition to performing the piece, “As the Angels Sing,” the youngsters will learn from a Rockette during a master class. Following their performance, the North Shore Dance performers will sit to view the remainder of the holiday show.

As an added thrill this week, the young dancers have been featured in local television news reports, including News12 and PIX 11.

Below is the moment this summer when North Shore Dance was crowned National Champions for the studio’s “As the Angels Sing” performance in Junior Lyrical Line.
