No more trips to the city for that irresistible “Reaper” heat, no more detours on the way home from Vermont ski trips for the perfect bite, and no more out-of-the-way stops for a spicy meal on vacation.
Long Island finally has its own Dave’s Hot Chicken!
On Friday, the popular fast-casual chain will swing open the doors at its first location on Long Island — in Carle Place. It’s part of the huge expansion of one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in North America.
With nearly 200 locations across the United States and Canada, Dave’s Hot Chicken has skyrocketed in popularity in recent years. The chain had just seven locations in 2020, but now has more than 950 new restaurants in development.
All in the (Froccaro) family

The Froccaro family, owners of the Burger Brothers Restaurants Group, are behind the new location at 207 Glen Cove Road.
Known for their successful ventures with Burger King and QDOBA restaurants across Long Island, the Froccaros — Jeff, John Sr., Jake, Joseph, John Jr., Michael and James — are also gearing up to open a Dave’s inside Queens Center Mall. The father and brothers secured the rights to open Dave’s restaurants on Long Island and in Queens.
Praised for its quality food and quick service, Dave’s Hot Chicken specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken, offering crispy chicken tenders, sliders and unique sides like mac and cheese and fries. Customers choose their spice level, from mild to the intense “Reaper” challenge.
The company is majority owned by its founders, Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, Tommy Rubenyan and Gary Rubenyan, but also boasts the rap artist Drake as a significant investor.
