After more than a decade of tacos, margaritas and celebrations, Del Fuego Patchogue has closed its doors.
The Tex-Mex restaurant announced the closure on Instagram Tuesday, thanking the Patchogue community for years of family dinners, first dates, birthdays and other memories made at the restaurant.
“After 11 incredible years, today we say goodbye to Del Fuego Patchogue,” the announcement reads.
Del Fuego did not provide a reason for the closure.
Attempts to reach the restaurant’s ownership team were not successful.
Busy from jump, Del Fuego added a quick boost to the downtown dining scene upon opening in May of 2015 at the New Village at Patchogue mixed-use complex on Main Street.
The closure marks “the end of an era,” the announcement reads, but ownership emphasized that the Del Fuego brand is not going away.
Customers can still visit the restaurant’s locations in St. James and East Northport, where the company said they can continue to find their favorite Del Fuego dishes and drinks.
“To everyone who walked through our doors over the years — thank you,” the announcement reads. “Most of all, thank you for allowing us to be a part of this community for more than a decade.”
The restaurant closed with one final thank-you to the people who supported it.
“From the entire Patchogue crew, thank you for 11 incredible years.”
