It’s finally time to get your Dirty Taco & Tequila on, Smithtown.
The fast-growing, family-owned restaurant chain opened its latest location in the former Green Turtle spot at 716 Smithtown Bypass. The opening was last Monday.
For those unfamiliar, Dirty Taco boasts a fun, lively atmosphere while offering a variety of street taco options, like Birria, Jamaican Jerk and Vietnamese Shrimp.
Then there’s the creative cocktails, such as the Sangarita (a margarita with red or white sangria), Watermelon Basil margarita, plus a wide selection of tequilas.
Dirty Taco is the brainchild of owner Tom Cataldo Jr. During his college days in Arizona, he spent many night in Los Angeles, falling deeper and deeper in love with tacos.
Teaming up with his family, the Cataldos now run five locations across the island, including in Wantagh, Rockville Centre, Woodbury and Patchogue. There’s also a sixth in the works, which is opening soon in Port Washington at the Manhasset Bay Marina.
