A Nesconset man faces a drunk driving charge after a Friday early morning wreck in Dix Hills left another driver seriously injured, police said.
Wesley Sitar, 45, was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram eastbound on East Jericho Turnpike about 2:20 a.m. when his truck hit a 2010 Volkswagen that was turning left onto East Deer Park Road.
The Volkswagen’s driver, Maxx Waite, 21, of Oakdale, suffered serious injuries and was rushed by ambulance to Huntington Hospital.
Sitar also went to Huntington Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries. Police charged him with driving while intoxicated.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at Suffolk First District Court in Central Islip.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
