Donatina Neapolitan Pizza Cafe is offering pizza lovers the tools to make one of their favorite meals at home.

As of yesterday, the Patchogue pizzeria began selling do-it-yourself pizza kits.

For $20, the package includes enough dough, cheese, sauce, olive oil and basil for two 12-inch personal pies. Cooking instructions are also included.

The idea was born when Donatina’s owner John Peragine began bringing home ingredients for his two kids at home.

“My kids are constantly asking to bring home pizza,” he told GreaterPatchogue. “Then I started bringing the ingredients home, and they made it home and they loved it.”

While the nation is recommended to stay home during the COVID-19 outbreak, many locals have already jumped on the opportunity to do this family-friendly home activity.

“We had one person ordered 10 kits for all the kids in the neighborhood,” said Peragine, who also co-owns the PeraBell Food Bar restaurants on Long Island.

To learn more about the package, visit Donatina’s in Patchogue at 18 West Avenue or call 631-730-7002.
