East Moriches woman wins $1 million off a scratch-off from 7-Eleven

|

She couldn’t believe it.

Jeannine Trombino of East Moriches thought she was lucky after thinking she won $5,000 of a Boggle Cashword scratch-off ticket.

Apparently, she was even luckier than she thought.

When she went to claim her prize on Tuesday she learned that she hit the $1 million jackpot.

Her face in the above picture says it all.

“I put the ticket on my refrigerator because I thought I won $5,000,” she said.

Trombino purchased the winning scratch-off at a 7-Eleven on East Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.

She said the money won’t change the way she lives her life and plans on sharing it with those she loves.

Trombino chose to receive her winnings in a one-time lump sum payment. After required taxes and withholdings, the payment amounts to $671,800, a New York State Lottery official said.

The Lottery also added as of Tuesday, there’s still one outstanding top prize available for the Boggle Cashword game.
