Election Results: Pontieri leads incumbents to victory in Patchogue

Paul Pontieri was elected to a fourth term as Patchogue Village mayor on Tuesday, leading a team of three incumbent board members over one challenger in an at-large trustee race.

Pontieri, first elected in 2004, ran unopposed as he cruised to his fourth four-year term.

Challenge John Cucci was roundly defeated by incumbent trustees Jack Krieger, Lori Devlin and Tom Ferb.

Another incumbent, Susan Henke Brinkman, ran unopposed to fill the remaining two years on the term of former trustee Bill Hilton, who had stepped down because he was moving from the village.

Henke Brinkman was appointed to the board on Dec. 1.

Below are the unofficial results. Absentee ballots will be counted and the vote finalized Wednesday.
