The Fifth Annual Jewish Sports Heritage Association Induction Ceremony will be held on April 23, 2023, at Temple Israel, Lawrence, 140 Central Avenue, Lawrence, N.Y., and Virtually, at 10:30 a.m. Nine Jewish greats from the world of sports will be inducted, including: Mike Saunders, longtime NY Knicks Head Trainer; Sherry Levin, all-time leading scorer women’s basketball at Holy Cross; and Mike Katz, bodybuilding Mr. Universe. Six others will receive individual awards, including: Ryan Turell, Yeshiva University basketball All-America; and Coach Elliot Steinmetz, Yeshiva University Men’s Basketball Head Coach.
