Urban Air Lake Grove, the best indoor adventure park of its kind on Long Island, will launch “Spree VR,” a new virtual reality attraction on Friday, May 5, 2023, the first of three new attractions being launched this year.

Spree VR combines a headset-based virtual reality experience with the physical activity of Urban Air Lake Grove for a unique experience that supports freeform game play (no wires) and up to 10 players at the same time. Games and puzzles include:

• Anteater: Players suck up as many insects as possible with wobbly trunks and compete for the big score bugs. But watch out for those Mosquitos!

• Firefighter: Lights, Camera, Action! Join the team of Firefighters and compete against each other to extinguish as many fires as possible with- in a virtual film set.

• Fruit Splash: The canteen robots on a space shuttle have gone mad! Players join Team Tomato of Team Lemon and try to splash around as much as possible in this epic intergalactic food fight.

• Jump a Cheese: The Astro Mice’s cheese planet is under attack from a group of hungry bugs. Players must squash them before they devour everything in this Whack-A-Mole style VR adventure.

• Mission to Mars: Mission to Mars is an 15 minute educational VR experience revolving around the challenges humans would face should there be a need to colonize Mars, containing elements of teamwork, problem solving and fun.

• The Sky Rider, where kids (and adults) can fly 30 feet overhead on a zip-line style track in the sky

• Spin Zone Bumper Cars, where you can bump into your friends and send them into an uncontrolled spin
• The Drop Zone, an enormous inflatable landing pad perched below a series of trampoline
• The Runway Tumble Track, a unique attraction for flips, handsprings and cartwheels
• The Slam Dunk Zone, which allows guests to emulate their favorite basketball heroes with a trampoline-induced slam dunk of their own
• A tubes playground with several suspended levels of pipes and tubes for younger visitors to crawl through and slide down
• Urban Air’s exclusive Urban Warrior Course™ and Battle Beam.
• Plus virtual reality, and arcade games and more!

Food is available at the Urban Café. Menu items include pizza, hot dogs and buffalo wings, snacks including popcorn and giant soft pretzels, sweets such as mini melts, cotton candy and Icee drinks, bottled water and fountain sodas.
