Fashion and community will come together for a one-of-a-kind event in Port Jefferson Village this April.
Fedora Lounge Salon, along with the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and Theatre Three, will present a fashion show on Sunday, April 23, at Theatre Three at 412 Main St.
The show will be a collaboration of multiple businesses in Port Jefferson Village, offering participants the option to showcase their skills on stage or as vendors selling or promoting their businesses.
Attendees will be treated to a variety of fashion displays, including the latest summer trends from Tabu, a hair show by Fedora, and a special Indian culture show by Saghar, to name a few.
Kristine Murillo, owner of Fedora Lounge Salon and a Board Director for the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce, spearheaded the event. With experience as the lead hair artist for Hamptons Fashion Week, working backstage at New York Fashion Week since 2011, and participating in big shows like the Miss United States Pageant and Super Bowl halftime show LI, Murillo is poised to bring a unique experience to the Port Jefferson community.
Among the models on stage will be regular customers and local residents, as well as a few surprise special guests. The event will take place at Theatre Three in Port Jefferson Village, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the show starting at 7 p.m.
Tickets will be available for purchase on the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce website or at the door for $20 each.
The funds raised from the fashion show will go towards holding more fun events for the Port Jefferson community, according to a release by the event organizers.
