With nearly 100,000 followers on Instagram, Fat Boy’s Burrito Co. has established itself as one of the most popular burrito joints on Long Island.
Now, Patchogue is its latest outpost.
On Tuesday, owner Tony Othman launched his third location at 74B East Main Street, situated behind Kilwins ice cream and candy shop.

Tony and his brother Sam founded Fat Boy’s Burrito Co. in 2017 in Bellmore after spending most of their lives working behind deli counters alongside their family.
“My father was never behind the counter, we’re talking about delis,” Othman previously told Greater Long Island. “He would shop for the customers, hold their basket, and go over the items with them in the front of the house, almost like a maître d’ would.”
Fat Boy’s quickly became a hit for its fun creations and generously packed burritos, like this video that garnered nearly 200,000 views:
This success prompted expansion, with a new location opening in East Northport in 2022, followed by the Patchogue location, with more planned for the future, according to ownership.
Fat Boy’s offers a wide selection of bowls, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and more, with a variety of toppings, proteins, and sauces.
“We’re a quick-service establishment with the full-service feel,” Othman said. “You will be greeted when you walk in, you will be checked on while you’re eating. We will bring you your containers, we will grab your tray. It’s nice to go to an establishment where you don’t feel obligated to leave a 20 or 30 percent tip.”
Othman explained that he chose Patchogue Village because of its reputation as a go-to foodie destination and hopes to contribute to the lunch scene while offering the area a new delivery option.
Fat Boy’s Burrito Co. now occupies the space previously operated by The Hero Joint, a sandwich shop that ran for five years in the village before closing this past October.
