He just keeps winning.

Former Sayville High School quarterback Jack Cheshire notched his first college win on Saturday.

The SUNY Brockport freshman completed 23 of his 37 passes for 189 yards and two touchdowns in the Golden Eagles’ 31-0 beatdown of Framington State in Massachusetts. Brockport State opened the season ranked No. 23 in the nation among NCAA Division III schools.

Cheshire’s 16-yard touchdown strike to receiver Imhotep Cromer opened the scoring less than three minutes into the game. By halftime, Brockport State led 24-0.

Cheshire this spring earned the Hansen Award as Suffolk County’s best football high school football player, while leading Sayville to an undefeated season and a Suffolk championship.

Savyille also received the Rutgers Trophy as Suffolk County’s most outstanding football team. Their historic season included a non-league blowout victory over perennial, large schools football juggernaut William Floyd.

Brockport’s next game is home against Division III powerhouse Ithaca College on Sept. 11.
