Funeral services for Anders Nathanael Hart, the 11 year-old Patchogue boy who tragically died on April 17 during his school’s spring recess, are Monday, April 25, and Tuesday, April 26, at Raynor & D’Andrea Funeral Home in West Sayville.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 7-9:30 pm on Monday and from 2-4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A chapel service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Anders is survived by his mom and dad, Ami and Alex; three siblings, Ellie, Nico and Liam; and uncles, cousins and grandparents.
Last week, Patchogue-Medford schools Superintendent Donna Jones wrote a heartfelt letter to the district community concerning the suicide death of Anders, who was a fifth grader at Medford Elementary School in Patchogue.
The school district this week has made counselors, psychologists and social workers available to assist students from all Patchogue-Medford schools who may be struggling over Anders’ death.
