The Gateway in Bellport has just announced its 2017 season and it will feature five Broadway hits: RENT, Swing!, On the Town, Mamma Mia! and Little Shops of Horrors.
Tickets start at $59 and go on sale March 21 at 10 a.m.
The Gateway will also help usher in the holiday season with A Christmas Story, the Musical from Dec. 15 through Dec. 28 at Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.
In between, The Gateway will be bringing to our area Cirque Éloize iD, described as a high-energy blend of circus arts and urban dance. That will also run at Patchogue Theatre, from Aug. 9 through Aug. 13th.
The Gateway also welcomes the return of the live tribute show Legends in Concert, which features Las Vegas-style tribute acts such as Sting, Janis Joplin, Katy Perry and more. That show will run at The Gateway Playhouse in Bellport from Nov. 24 through Dec. 3.
This year’s Children’s Theatre Series includes two shows produced by The Gateway – Dreamworks’ Madagascar JR. and Disney’s The Lion King Jr; the interactive bubble show – Bubble Trouble, the musical based on the popular book Pinkalicious; and fresh off its off-Broadway run, The Amazing Max, which stars magician and illusionist Max Darwin.
The nonprofit theater’s annual fundraising Gala is set for Saturday, Aug. 19.
