Great South Bay Brewery is getting in on the hard seltzer game.
The Bay Shore brewery announced it was creating its own version catered specifically for Long Islanders after seeing national brands such as White Claw and Truly explode in popularity this past summer.
“Long Island is a nautical environment, and people love to hang out by the water and drink a light, flavorful beverage,” said Ryan Randazzo, special projects manager at GSB. “We started with over 50 flavors and narrowed it down to our final four after letting our customers vote on what they liked the best.”
The input led to GSB’s new “Spiked” line with flavors Sour Cherry, Watermelon, Pineapple, and Sparking Lemonade.
The 100 calorie, 5% (ABV) drinks are currently being sold as a mixed 12-pack of 12-ounce cans. They’re currently priced at $15.99 at most distributors across Long Island.
The brewery, located at 25 Drexel Drive, will also have its seltzers on tap.
