Guide to the 2024 Alive After Five street festivals in Patchogue

|

Alive After Five — one of Long Island’s biggest summer street festival series — returns for another year of fun in downtown Patchogue.

Greater Long Island put together a guide for everything you need to know.

Dates & times

The dates are June 27, July 11, July 25, and Aug. 8, all Thursdays from 5-9 p.m. There is a raindate set for Aug. 15, if needed.

Street closure

  • Main Street will be closed from West Ave. to Maple Ave.; Ocean Avenue will be closed from Oak Street to Church Street.
  • Starting at 3:30 p.m., the roads will close for each festival date. The streets will reopen when authorities are able to safely do so, which should be around 11 p.m.

Parking & free shuttle

  • Because of the street closures, there will be limited on-street parking, so plan accordingly.
  • Municipal parking lots will be open for each festival, but they do fill up quickly. Look at the map below for locations of the lots.
  • Free shuttle: Those who want to save time trying to find parking can get a spot at St. Joseph’s University, located off Sunrise Highway in Patchogue, and hop on a trolley for a free shuttle ride down to Main Street. The shuttle runs continuously between St. Joseph’s and Carnegie Library on W. Main Street. The last ride back to the college will be at 11 p.m.

Outdoor dining

  • Outdoor dining will be available outside most of the downtown restaurants.
  • There will also be many vendors and food trucks that you can choose from to nosh on the go.

Family friendly activities

  • There is a variety of entertainment, such as crafts in front of The Patchogue-Medford Public Library, magicians and other characters to interact with.

Say cheese!

  • Greater LI will be boots on the ground, snapping photos of each great day. If you see us, smile!
