The holiday season is coming and that means it’s time for some ice skating at Harborfront Park in Port Jefferson Village.
In anticipation, we headed to the rink next to the Village Center on Tuesday.
There we found Tom Palamara, owner of The Rinx in Hauppauge, which operates the seasonal skating rink, with his crews laying down the foundation for the Nov. 24 opening.
Many from Port Jeff and beyond look forward to it each year.

“Its a very a nice activity that families and visitors can use that is in the heart of our business district,” said Barbara Ransome of the Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce.
