Heated igloo comes to this restaurant’s rooftop in Patchogue

[Update: RHUM is now offering its rooftop igloo experience seven days a week, and has added a second igloo.]

One of the hottest new holiday fads has hit downtown Patchogue.

This week, RHUM — located at 13 East Main Street — announced it added an igloo to its rooftop.

The heated dome, adorned with holiday decorations, can seat six people with full menu service available.

To reserve the igloo at the Caribbean-inspired restaurant, it costs $150 for two hours. The fee covers the first round of drinks or two carafes of rum punch, margarita, or sangria.

The igloo — which holds up to six people — has quickly caught steam after the restaurant posted about the new rooftop addition on its Instagram feed Friday.

“The phones have been ringing off the hook,” the restaurant’s manager, Tiffany Rivera, told GreaterPatchogue over the weekend.

According to RHUM, there are plans to add one more igloos in the near future, as soon as mid-December. The igloos will be at RHUM all winter long. To make a reservation, call 631-569-5944.
