Here comes Long Island’s eleventh Chick-fil-A.
On April 1 at 6:30 a.m., the popular chicken sandwich chain will open a new restaurant in Selden at 949 Middle Country Road, in the same shopping center as ShopRite. The restaurant was built on an unused section of the center, next to Chase Bank.
The new location will offer dine-in, drive-thru, and carry-out services. Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. As always, Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays.
This franchise is owned by Stan Abrahamsen, the operator who brought the first Chick-fil-A to Long Island in 2015, opening in Port Jefferson Station.
“As a longtime Suffolk County resident and the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Port Jefferson, I’m honored to continue serving my neighbors and making a positive impact in the community that I call home,” Abrahamsen said. “At Chick-fil-A Selden, my focus is on building a welcoming, service-driven culture and helping my Team Members grow — both personally and professionally.”
With the Selden opening, Chick-fil-A will now have 11 locations on Long Island, including Port Jefferson Station, Smithtown, Commack, Huntington, Farmingdale, Levittown, Hicksville, Westbury, Garden City (Roosevelt Field Mall), and Farmingville, which opened over the summer.
And more are on the way.
A Chick-fil-A spokesperson confirmed that new restaurants are planned for West Babylon, Riverhead, Medford, Lake Ronkonkoma, and East Meadow. Stay tuned to GLI for updates on these upcoming locations.
