The final piece of the foodie puzzle is in place
What began as a vision for a food-only destination in Hicksville is now complete.
The same ownership group behind Humty Dumty, Shawarma Square, and Bagel Amore has officially opened Cross Street Cafe, the final piece of a four-concept, all-food plaza at 83 Woodbury Road.
The partners hold a long-term, 20-year lease on the entire property — including all storefronts, offices, and parking — allowing them to intentionally build and operate a fully curated food destination under one umbrella.
Designed as the all-day anchor of the food-focused plaza, Cross Street Cafe brings together breakfast, lunch, and specialty drinks under one roof.
“If you want breakfast, we got it, if you want lunch, we got it, if you want a sweet snack, we got it,” said co-owner Sharjeel Razeek. “We also press our own juice, offer a big coffee menu, and have a lot of other fun drinks.”
As Greater Long Island previously reported, dessert shop Humty Dumty opened in November, followed by Shawarma Square and Bagel Amore. With the opening of Cross Street Cafe, the group now owns and operates every food concept on the property, completing a lineup designed to cover everything from morning coffee to late-night sweets.

“We know there are a lot of similar style places in the area, but we feel like we offer a better selection,” Razeek said. “And we make mostly everything in house.”
Cross Street Cafe’s menu spans peanut butter banana crunch toast, Greek salads, pressed juices, and specialty drinks, along with a wide range of açaí bowls, including signature options like Mango Pineapple Dream and Dragon Fruit Bliss, plus a build-your-own option with more than 20 toppings.
“Our non-alcoholic mojitos are one of our specialties,” said co-owner Muhammad Ali. “People also tell us they’ve been loving our refreshers, like the Paradise Punch and the Strawberry Daydream.”
Cross Street Cafe is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
