Holtsville Ecology Site and Animal Preserve now open with no reservations

|

The Holtsville wildlife sanctuary, with over 100 injured or non-releasable wild animals and farm animals, is once again open to the public, now with no reservations needed.

Located at 249 Buckley Rd., Brookhaven Town residents and non-residents can visit the site Thursday through Monday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The reserve partially opened its doors to town residents-only on May 1 after months of closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There is no entrance fee for the animal preserve, but parking fees to enter the park are in effect. Donations are welcome.

For more information, visit the Town of Brookhaven’s government website.
