They say you shouldn’t rush your life away.
But with homes available in 55+ communities such as Springhorn at Blue Point, just south of the tracks in the hamlet and a one-minute drive to Montauk Highway, it might be hard not to.
High ceilings. A huge kitchen. Gleaming wood floors. An attached garage. This isn’t your father’s condominium. (But it could be.)
The single-floor unit at 58 Oyster Cove Lane at Springhorn just went up for sale last month. It’s 1,200 square feet with one bedroom and two full baths. There’s also a community pool on-site.
Listing agent Sherry Jenks of Douglas Elliman said the large, first-floor master bedroom suite makes it highly desirable for retirees or near-retirees not looking to move anytime soon.
“It’s a great community,” she said. “There are some people who are still working and some who are retired. The grounds are lovely. It’s all tree-lined and meticulously kept.”
As for the condo itself, Jenks described it as spacious and airy with an open-floor plan and great natural light because of its southern exposure.
“It’s a small development and it’s in walking distance to the library,” she said.
There are also a some shops and a nature preserve that’s being built in walking distance as well.
The asking price is $385,000. Click here for the full listing.Â
