Hurricane Grill & Wings has been acquired by Fatburger parent company

|

Hurricane Grill & Wings is now under new ownership.

In a statement released last week, it was announced that FAT Brands has acquired the chain for $12.5 million.

The West Palm Beach-based company has more than 50 franchises nationwide, including seven on Long Island: Port Jefferson Station, Hauppauge, Lindenhurst, Manorville, Syosset, Levittown, and Garden City.  (A location in Patchogue was recently taken over by another restaurant.)

With the move, FAT Brands now owns more than 325 restaurants worldwide, with its additional businesses under the brands Fatburger, Buffalo’s Cafe, Buffalo’s Express, Ponderosa Steakhouse, and Bonanza Steakhouse.

While the company has changed hands, there are no immediate plans to change any branding on the restaurant level.

“FAT Brands is very excited to partner with Hurricane Grill & Wings …,” said the company’s spokesperson, Rebecca Campbell. “We look forward to continuing to provide the same jumbo, fresh wings, signature sauces and trademark tropical atmosphere to the Long Island community and beyond.”
