Golfers on Long Island will soon have another place to tee it up, work on their game or simply hang out with friends.
Island Greens, an indoor golf simulator facility that opened its first location in Franklin Square last year, is planning a second location at Station Yards in Ronkonkoma.
Construction is expected to begin soon, with co-owners Patrick Lyons and Matthew Liotta targeting a January 2027 opening.
โWe really like the area of Station Yards, and we have plans to expand all across Long Island, so we figured this was a great opportunity for our second location,โ Lyons told Greater Long Island.
The new Island Greens will build on the concept the pair introduced in Franklin Square, but with some added amenities. Plans call for several golf simulators, darts, a full bar and light bites, creating a space geared toward both serious golfers and groups looking for a casual night out.
โWe want it to be a place to hang out like youโre in your house,โ Lyons said. โYou can come and hang out in your own area.โ
Island Greens will also offer game-improvement plans for golfers looking to sharpen their skills.
The business itself started with a conversation between Lyons and Liotta shortly after Lyons graduated from college in 2023.
Liotta was taking a gap year before law school, and the two friends began kicking around ideas for a business they could launch together.
Lyons already had a golf simulator at home, which provided some inspiration.

โWe said to each other, โWe should make one of those golf simulator places,โโ Lyons recalled.
They did.
Lyons and Liotta opened the first Island Greens in Franklin Square in January 2025, even building much of the facility themselves.
Discussions with the Station Yards team began around last summer.
