Islanders and Rangers legends to duke it out in alumni game on Long Island

Retirement doesn’t mean a rivalry ends. Just ask those who played on the New York Islanders and New York Rangers.

Former players from the crosstown rivals will battle it out once again, this time for a great cause. This Sunday, Jan. 28, will be the the third annual Alumni Classic, where legends from each team will face against each other while raising money for charity.

The proceeds will go to the Northwell Child and Adolescent Mental Health Initiative.

The game will be held at the Isle’s practice facility, Northwell Ice Center, located at 200 Merrick Ave., East Meadow.

Here’s who is playing:

Islanders: Johnny Boychuk, Benoit Hogue, Steve Webb, Dennis Seidenberg, Radek Martinek, Marty Reasoner, Eric Cairns, Matt Moulson, Shawn Bates, Pierre Turgeon, Kip Brennan, Dave Scatchard

Rangers: Adam Graves, Michael Del Zotto, Stephane Matteau, Boo Nieves, Wojtek Wolski, Brian Mullen, Brandon Prust, Keith Yandle, Nigel Dawes, Aaron Voros, Darius Kasparaitus, Henrik Lundqvist
