JVC Broadcasting to host annual food drive for Brookhaven Town residents

|

The holiday season is quickly approaching, which means JVC Broadcasting‘s annual “Food Fight Against Hunger” is almost here, too.

JVC Broadcasting, which operates five Long Island radio stations, is hosting its two-day food drive at Patchogue’s ShopRite on Saturday, Nov. 17, and Sunday, Nov. 18.

The donations will benefit the Town of Brookhaven’s INTERFACE program, which supports less fortunate town residents.

“There are many families that struggle every day to put food on the table,” said Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine. “This food drive not only helps those families, but it also reminds us about the true meaning of the holiday season.”

Through the drive,  JVC’s five stations — Party 105, My Country 96.1, La Fiesta 98.5, LI News Radio 103.9 and Oldies 98.1 — all duke it out to see who can collect the most donations.

time and location

On both Saturday and Sunday, the food drive will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 95 North Service Road in Patchogue.
