Kick’N Chicken, coming soon to Farmingdale, to hold Oct. 1 pop-up event

|
Kick n' Chicken

Kick’N Chicken will be opening soon at 342 Main St. in Farmingdale, but here’s your chance to get a taste of what’s in store for the area ahead of time, and maybe watch some people torture themselves.

Owner Ryan Carroll and his team will be hosting a pop-up event on Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. at Harley’s American Grille, located at 283 Main St., also in Farmingdale. Attendees can expect a night of great eats, live music, entertainment and a test for five select people’s tastebuds as they take on the Carolina Reaper Challenge.

The Reaper, cultivated right here in the U.S., is considered to be among the hottest peppers in the world — relatively much hotter than the more famous Ghost Pepper (see chart below).

Tickets are $25, click here to purchase and to view the full tasting menu.

Carroll, who runs the non-profit Carroll’s Kitchen Long Island, will be in the kitchen cooking up chicken tenders, sandwiches, and family buckets and plates while bringing on the heat.
