Long Island’s first D.P. Dough in Stony Brook has just announced its grand opening date will be Thursday, Sep. 13.
But it gets better. On the same day, the new joint will be celebrating “Free Calzone Day,” giving away free to-go calzones to everyone who stops by.
“I am very exciting about opening,” said owner Michael Frey. “We’re hoping to give away hundreds of free calzones.”
According to Frey, Free Calzone Day will begin at D.P. Dough, located at 1007 Route 25A, at 4 p.m. and run to 7 p.m.
During the festivities, D.P Dough will also being give away promotional items.
“We’ll be handing out keychains, pens, ping pong balls,” said Frey.
