The New York State Department of Transportation announced that motorists should expect delays at the Long Island Expressway and William Floyd Parkway on starting March 2 due to maintenance to the LIE bridge over William Floyd Parkway.
The lane and ramp closures will be in place for approximately three weeks, the DOT said.
On weeknights from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., the ramp from South Service Road to northbound William Floyd Parkway will be closed. Additionally, only one lane on northbound William Floyd Parkway will be open.
Electronic variable message signs will be in place and relay updates to motorists.
As with most road and bridge projects, work may be cancelled, postponed, or prolonged due to inclement weather.
