Learn about Babylon’s new Asian restaurant, Ninja Ramen & Poke Bowl

|

By Nicholas Esposito and Michael White |

Babylon Village has a new ramen/poke restaurant to call its own.

Last month, Adam Li, a Japanese-born restauranteur, opened Ninja Ramen & Poke Bowl at 74 Deer Park Avenue.

At Lee’s new venture, the focus is on creating “quick and healthy dishes” while filling a void in the area, his staff told GreaterBabylon.

“We noticed around here there weren’t many ramen restaurants,” said Sophia Lee, Ninja’s manager. “We wanted to bring more of a new style of food [to Babylon].”

At Ninja, the dishes are inspired by traditional Japenese classics.

The ramen toppings range from shrimp tempura and chicken, while the poke bowls come served with either (or mixed together with) salmon, tuna, and shrimp.

According to Ninja’s website, a spotlighted menu item is Tantanmen, a classic ramen dish with thin straight noodles served with spicy sesame paste with ground pork, egg, bok choy, and scallion in a chicken broth.

In addition to the entrees, Ninja also serves up a variety of appetizers like its Kaarage chicken buns, Takoyaki (octopus balls), fried oysters, pork and vegetable gyoza (fried dumplings).
