Hicksville has officially cracked open a new dessert adventure.
Humty Dumty, a vibrant, community-centered shop at 83 Woodbury Road, opened Nov. 15 with hundreds of customers lining up to sample its creative and colorful offerings.
A wide range of iced milk teas is what sets Humty Dumty apart, including co-owner Faraz Essani’s favorite, the Mango Coco Magic.
“We use real mango pieces inside so they just don’t look great, they taste great too,” Essani told Greater Long Island. “We spent months trying to develop the perfect drinks, the perfect combination of ingredients, to make some of our signature drinks.”
Beyond the teas, customers can watch desserts being made right in front of them — from hand-rolled ice cream mixed to order on the cold plate to fresh crepes and waffles topped with fruit, chocolate, and other sweet add-ons.
“We are the perfect combination of good prices, excellent food quality, cleanliness, great customer service and a place that is important to the community,” Essani said.
Humty Dumty also encourages reading among kids with a small but meaningful initiative.
“We have a program where we give a free scoop of ice cream to a kid every time he or she reads three books,” Essani said. “This isn’t just a food establishment, we opened this up to help build the community.”
