Work on Patchogue Village’s Mascot Dock, which was badly damaged in hurricanes Irene and Sandy is set to start Tuesday, May 10, Mayor Paul Pontieri announced this week.
The village landmark, located at the southern end of South Ocean Avenue at the Great South Bay, dates back to the early 1900s.
The repair work is scheduled to be wrapped up in time for the Sept. 3 Snapper Derby.
