Lori Devlin is running for reelection to a four-year term as a Patchogue Village Trustee.
by Lori Devlin |I have been truly honored to serve the residents of Patchogue as a trustee. I hope that I have earned your trust as I seek re-election.
I moved to Patchogue in 1985 and my husband and I raised our daughter here. I watched dismayed as the village entered a steady decline in the years following yet I continued to believe in the promise of Patchogue.
Mayor Paul Pontieri appointed me to the Planning Board in 2004; I was elected Trustee in 2006. I am proud of the contributions I have made in crafting new housing for our village.
We replaced blight and attracted new residents, putting feet on the street in the downtown where it was needed. I worked to bring Artspace to the village and was responsible for locating Plaza Cinema there.
At that time, I also co-founded the Patchogue Arts Council. In my next term I look forward to bringing a hotel to the downtown, revitalizing West Main Street, expanding arts uses in the Terry Street Cultural District and renovating Shorefront Park.
I hope that you share my vision, recognize my passion for our village and will cast your ballot for me on March 18.
