Marc LaMaina is putting his vision for a Lucharitos taqueria and tequila bar in Center Moriches before the Brookhaven Town planning board next week.
As GreaterMoriches reported, LaMaina signed a lease for the former bakery at 177 Montauk Highway after a deal to buy the property hit a snag because of the government shutdown. Ther purchase is still in the works.
On March 18, LaMaina will request that the planning board issue a change of use from a bakery to a 30-seat restaurant, including at 303-square-foot addition, covered walkway and two 8-foot by 10-foot walk-in freezers.
LaMaina said he’s “just floored from the positive feedback” he’s received by the community.
