It’s probably a good idea they want to remain anonymous. What with Christmas approaching and all.

A Suffolk County resident won $2.3 million on the Wheel of Fortune Triple Stars progressive slot machine at Jake’s 58 Casino Hotel on Tuesday, reports Suffolk Off Track Betting Corp, which owns the Islandia gaming palace.

The winner — from East Northport — hit a $2,294,411.78 Jackpot on their fourth spin at about 10:30 a.m. The player took home just shy of $1.5 million after taxes.

“The anticipation and excitement of a multi-million-dollar winner at Jake’s 58 had been building since the Wheel of Fortune reached the $2 million mark earlier this year,” said Phil Boyle, president and CEO of Suffolk Off Track Betting Corp. “It was just a matter of time and good luck, and we could not be happier for our player.”

This is the third time a major Wheel of Fortune jackpot hit at Jake’s 58, Boyle said. In May 2021, another anonymous player won $651,175.20 and in September 2020, a Hampton Bays resident won $1.3 million on a Wheel of Fortune slot machine.
