East Meadow’s Walmart has officially had enough of a sticky-fingered shopper who just couldn’t stay away.
Police said 45-year-old Michael Woodsby — who was already banned from entering any Walmart — was arrested Wednesday morning after allegedly grabbing several cans of electronic duster and walking out of the Hempstead Turnpike store without paying.
Walmart’s loss prevention agents flagged him, and responding officers from Nassau’s Third Precinct tracked him down nearby. Woodsby, who has no known address, was found with the stolen items in hand and arrested without incident, police said.
Police didn’t say why Woodsby had previously been banned from entering Walmarts, noting only that the defendant violated a trespass ban.
He stands charged with third-degree burglary, unlawfully possessing noxious matter, and inhaling hazardous vapors. His arraignment was scheduled to take place Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
