A 21-year-old man was shot in broad daylight Sunday afternoon in North Bay Shore when multiple gunmen ambushed a car carrying four people, police said.
The drive-by shooting went down about 3:30 p.m. near Stein Drive and Belgrave Avenue when passengers in a second vehicle got out and opened fire into the car, striking the victim, Suffolk Police said.
The driver flagged down a police officer on 5th Avenue and the victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
