Huntington’s dining scene is about to get a little sweeter.
Mango Mango, ranked as the third-best dessert chain in the country by USA Today, opens Friday at 377 New York Ave.

The Asian-inspired sweet shop offers 50 desserts and 30 drinks. And while mango-based treats are the headliner, customers will also find options built around strawberries, bananas, cantaloupe, matcha and chocolate.
“We like to say it’s an experience when you eat here,” co-owner Bhavesh Patel told Greater Long Island. “We are not your typical dessert place and you don’t have to worry about getting a sugar overload.”
The menu features crepe cakes, ice cream sundaes and waffles, plus several signature items that Patel says you have to try to fully appreciate. (Scroll down for more photos.)
One is called the Snow Cloud — a blend of ice cream and shaved ice topped with either fresh mango or toasted coconut and fruit-flavored syrup, with a choice of boba or mochi mixed in.
“My favorite might be the Mango Sticky Rice,” said Patel. “The combination of rice and ice cream with mango syrup on top is great, but then you also get a cup of milk to pour on top, which is makes it taste even more amazing.”
Mango Mango already operates in Plainview and Westbury, but the Huntington shop is the first franchise-owned location. Patel says he and his partners, Vhavin Patel and Kiran Thakkar, believe they found the perfect spot for what they hope is the first of many.
“We knew the Huntington community was the place we wanted to be as soon as we got involved,” he said. “This area was missing a sit down place for dessert, whether it’s just some friends going out or two people on a date.”
He added, “When we gave out free samples during the Thanksgiving Parade, everyone absolutely loved it, so we knew Huntington was the right spot.”
Mango Mango will be open seven days a week: 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday; and noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
