Manorville restaurant gets green light from Brookhaven

|

Brookhaven Town delivered good news on Thursday for Manorville residents hungry for a sit-down restaurant.

Manorville has long been eager for more dining options. Other than Hurricane Grill & Wings and The Maples, which caters to a niche crowd, the area lacks traditional full-service restaurants.

A new restaurant, referred to in site plans as “Clancy’s Market,” received approval from the Brookhaven Town Board during its planning meeting Thursday afternoon. The eatery will be located on the southeast corner of the Long Island Expressway Service Road and County Road 111, adjacent to the existing Starbucks.

The 3,293-square-foot restaurant will feature indoor seating for 22 diners and outdoor seating for 26, with a special permit granted for the outdoor dining area. Construction is expected to take about one year.

The Pine Barrens Commission previously approved the project in June 2024. While the identity of the tenant remains unknown, Councilwoman Karen Dunne Kesnig noted during the public hearing that she has received numerous calls from residents excited about the arrival of a new sit-down restaurant in the area.
