A U.S. Navy serviceman from Manorville was named his ship’s “Sailor of the Day” on Wednesday for his “superior performance” to his assigned duties.
Joshua Smith is a serviceman 3rd Class aboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis, which is conducting routine operations in support of Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic, according to a Navy press release.
The certificate of recognition reads: “You have displayed professionalism and dedication far above that expected of your rank and experience. You can stand proud knowing that your hard work and accomplishments have not gone unnoticed.”
