Two sisters from Bay Shore were in court Monday facing charges related to a stabbing of a 21-year-old man during an altercation in Mastic, Suffolk Police said.
Diamond King, 18, and Myia King-Harrison, 19, were each charged with first-degree gang assault and first-degree assault following the incident, which occurred outside a home on Dana Avenue about 10:20 p.m. on Saturday.
Police said the victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Police arrested King and King-Harrison on Sunday. They were held overnight at the Fourth Precinct before being arraigned Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.
