Support provided by Northwell’s Mather Hospital, which delivers the five-star difference in exceptional care and is ranked by Medicare in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance and patient experience.
Mather Hospital is dedicating this winter’s blood drive to a late employee.
The drive, which will be held on Monday, March 5, is honoring Maryanne Gordon, a past administrative director, who died in December of 2016.
The event will run from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. inside the hospital in conference rooms three, four, and five.
The drive is open to the public and walk-ins are welcome. All successful donors will receive a gift bag and a $5 gift card to Target.
“Blood donors help meet the daily transfusion needs of cancer and surgery patients, accident and burn victims, newborns and mothers delivering babies, AIDS and sickle cell anemia patients, and many more,” said Mather Hospital officials in a press release.
