McDonald’s in Oakdale hosts grand re-opening, shows off trendy amenities

|

Table service, self-order kiosks and a new menu. It’s all part of the package that comes with the remodeled McDonald’s at 4498 Sunrise Highway in Oakdale.

Franchise owners Tony and Jaime Liedtke showed off the features this weekend during a grand re-opening ribbon cutting ceremony.

The Liedtkes were joined Saturday by Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, John Cochrane Jr. and James O’Connor from the Islip Town Council, Suffolk County Leg. Tom Cilmi, Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino, Councilwoman Mary Kate Mullen and Assemblyman Steve Stern. The ceremony featured a flag raising ceremony by Scout Troop 205.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was the last in a series of special events — dating back to Easter in April — that celebrated the re-opening of the popular fast food joint.

The restaurant has welcomed the Easter Bunny, hosted a face painting bonanza for children and set up a petting zoo.

The Oakdale McDonald’s offers new technology, modern decor and table service creating a modern guest experience, McDonald’s representatives said, and the drive-thru continues to be open 24 hours.
