Suffolk Police are alerting drivers to expect road closures during the 74th annual Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday.
They’re also warning parade goers that uniformed and plainclothes officers will be observing the crowd and when necessary enforce the Brookhaven Town Ordinance prohibiting open alcoholic beverages.
Route 25A will be closed between Miller Place Road in Miller Place and 150 feet east of Broadway Avenue in Rocky Point from 11:45 a.m. until about 4 p.m. Parking on Route 25A will be prohibited along the parade route.
Parade links neighboring North Shore hamlets

Thousands of residents of Miller Place, Rocky Point, Sound Beach and other neighboring communities typically attend the festive parade, a local tradition celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.
It features marching bands, floats and community groups making their way through the two hamlets.
